Welder Certification
The term "certification" refers to the actual detailed paperwork that your company prepares and maintains on file to present to their customers. It is this signed testimony and documentation, not just test results, that certify your welding.
WTTI operates an in-house mechanical testing laboratory to perform welder qualification testing in accordance with a broad range of codes, standards and specifications. A sampling of those include: AWS, ASME, API, NFPA, Mil-Standards, etc.
We beign by researching the code requirements, witnessing the tests being welded (if needed), and we complete the process by developing and writing certifcation documents. WTTI will properly prepare ALL of the necessary certification paperwork for you. All you, or someone within your ocmpany will need to do is review and authorize the documents with a signature.
WTTI issues the following welder qualification documents to those welders who pass their performance test (per code): Welder Qualification Maintenance Log, Welder Qualification ID Card, and required certification paperwork in accordance with specific welding codes.
Typically, the results of testing are available within 2-3 business days. Results can be available sooner per special arrangement with WTTI.
